Every dentist is so very different.
Some love the challenge of a difficult root canal and for many that is nothing but a headache. Some love treating children and for others that is their worst nightmare.
Well, you know what?
Nothing says that you have to do things that you don’t enjoy.
In fact I reckon your practice will run much better and be more prosperous if you just stick to the treatments that bring you joy.
For me I hated dentures and treating small children. The rest of dentistry I liked. So, in my last practice we referred those things out and kept the rest.
The things that I liked filled up the spaces. I was busy and happy and I didn’t have to do things that gave me an ulcer.
Think about your practice and how you can make your favourite bits grow and refer off the things that stress you.
