Many practices are sporadic in their marketing efforts. They notice that the appointment book is a bit sparse and then they decide — “OK, let’s try a newspaper ad.”
Because of the lead time in marketing this produces an up and down effect in the practice gross. Feast or famine.

Work out a budget then make your marketing consistent. Every month have a plan and stick with it even when you get busy. Also, make sure to spend your marketing dollars where you get the best return based on your past history.
