I often say that when you have the right team around you dentistry is easy. You can almost walk around the office with your eyes closed.
But, if the team aren't right, then there are not enough hours in the day. You run around the office putting out fires all day long, stress is high and productivity is abysmal.
So this leads to the question of team training.
Do you have a method of training team members in exactly what's expected? Or, is what your team do in your office a mixture of old habits and a few things they pick up by osmosis from the rest of the team? Do you have an office manual that lays out in detail how to do tasks or do your team guess and hope?
Fantastic team work does not come about by accident. It is the result of thought, planning and deliberate action.
This week give some thought to how you can develop a dynamic team in your office.
